Whatever, you probably don’t know what the name Space Jam has to do with cartoon basketball anyway so just calm the fuck down already—this is our Space Jam double feature, beginning with our review of Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi classic Total Recall, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as just an ordinary construction worker married to Sharon Stone and who may or may not also be an undercover spy.

It’s time for the second in our stripper double feature, Paul Verhoeven’s Showgirls! And don’t you dare call Nomi a stripper—she’s a dancer goddamnit. One of us is convinced that this movie is better than its reputation as one of the worst films ever made, and one of us thinks its reputation suits it just fine. Is this movie a clever critique of the American dream, or is it just a stupid film starring that woman from Saved By the Bell? I think you know the answer.
