We also discuss Nia Peeples, probably referring to her more than once as ‘Mia,’ and debate why she would let Rick ride on the front of her horse.

Today we discuss the trailer to William Phelps’s 1987 North Shore, a movie about a competitive surfer from Arizona who heads to the north shore of Oahu to surf. Trouble no doubt ensues, not least because this movie stars no one you’ve probably heard of, except Laird Hamilton, who isn’t really an actor but a big wave surfer. Nia Peeples is cool, though, even if she isn’t related to Mario Van Peebles, who spells his last name differently, which may account for the lack of relation on their part. Anyway, today we discuss the trailer, and next week we review the full movie!
